We are thrilled to be partnering with National Trust Orford Ness, to provide you with a unique experience comprising of a tour of the natural environment of Orford Ness and a culinary ode to the Ness in the form of a seven-course tasting menu within our 2 AA rosette restaurant.

Tour of Orford Ness

The meeting point for the start of the experience is the National Trust ticket office at 9:15am. There will be a brief introduction followed by a ferry transfer to the Ness at 9:30am. The tour, which will be led by one of the National Trust's knowledgeable guides will be focused on the flora and fauna of the Ness. This part of the experience will take an estimated three hours and you will be dropped off back at Orford Quay.
The guide (who will remain with you) will lead the short walk to the Crown and Castle.
Please note, Orford Ness is an exposed coastal location and therefore we would advise that you dress for the weather with suitable footwear.

Seven-course tasting menu at The Crown and Castle

The seven-course tasting menu which has been designed specifically for this experience, has taken it's inspiration from Orford Ness and the surrounding area and will feature local produce from land and sea.
This is the second part of the experience and will take place following the return to Orford Quay and short walk to the hotel. We estimate that this will be between 12:45pm and 1pm.

There will be a wine menu as well as a full drinks menu available for duration of the experience at The Crown and Castle and this will be made available on the day. This is in addition to the ticket price (apart from the coffees after lunch as stated on the menu above).
