Our wine list has a “bunch of grapes” in the Michelin guide which signifies a ‘particularly interesting wine list.’
We offer over 20 wines by the glass, including Perrier-Jouet champagne, prosecco and four dessert wines. We have a good list of sherries and fabulous tapas – warm anchovy twists, great olives, habas fritas, chorizo, sweet chillies – to go with it.
Wines by the bottle are carefully and individually chosen by the partners, i.e. general manager, Tim Sunderland, and Ruth and David Watson. They are all listed by grape variety, with helpful notes attached to many of them: Italy is particularly well-represented. The wine list continually evolves as we find new wines we like, so the copy here is not necessarily completely accurate.
Should guests wish to bring their own wine to consume in the restaurant, it must be sanctioned beforehand by Tim Sunderland: a modest corkage charge will be made. Guests are welcome to bring their own wine or champagne to consume in their rooms but if ice buckets, glasses, etc., are requested then a service charge of £10 will be added to the final account. (Selling wine and food is our business and pays the staff and the bills!)
