Our wine list has a “bunch of grapes” in the Michelin guide which signifies a ‘particularly interesting wine list’ and have won a number of AA Notable Wine List Awards.
We offer over 20 wines by the glass, including Ayala Brut Majeur NV champagne (sister house to Bollinger), fabulous Villa Sandi Valdobbiadene prosecco and four dessert wines. We have a good list of sherries and serve cichetì – big Gordal Reina & small black Moulin de Daudet olives, fennel brigantini, coppa, heirloom radishes in summer or sweet-pickled chillies in winter, and vintage pecorino – in the bar during restaurant hours.
Wines by the bottle are carefully and individually chosen. They are all listed by grape variety, with helpful notes attached to many of them: Italy is particularly well-represented. The wine list continually evolves as we find new wines we like, so the copy here is not necessarily completely accurate.
We prefer that guests do not bring their own wine as selling wine – and food and accommodation – is our core business. (After all, you don’t take crowns you’ve bought elsewhere to the dentist and ask him/her to fit them!) We charge 25.00 corkage for still wines and 35.00 for sparkling wines: we also make a room service charge of 10.00 for guests drinking their own liquor in their rooms, who request ice, ice buckets, glasses, etc.
