Our 3-night Christmas and New Year packages are full but you can still come and enjoy Boxing Day brunch and New Year’s Day brunch. The former is nearly full, so don’t delay, and New Year’s Day is filling fast. Menus are available to look at below. (Please note there are no variations available on these two occasions.)
Our 2-night Festive Flop package is available on 27th/28th December and 29th/30th December and, again, is selling fast but there are a few rooms available.
If you fancy a pre-Christmas treat we will be in festive mode from Thursday, 15th December 2016, slightly earlier than usual. The reindeer are going on holiday so a tree will be up in their corner instead and, as usual, everything from staircases and mantelpieces to window sills and tables will be festooned with tasteful decorations.
Our very popular 2-night Festive Flop package is available for either Tuesday and Wednesday, 27th & 28th December or Thursday and Friday, 29th & 30th December 2016.
As ever, the 2-night package includes a 3-course a la carte dinner each night, with free choice of dishes, and full English breakfast each morning.
And, to take home, we are offering our usual present of a whole side of Pinney’s oak-smoked salmon, two lemons, a Pump Street Bakery voucher for a sourdough loaf, and a bottle of our very nice house soave – all designed to help solve the NYE catering problems if you’re having friends or family over for the occasion.

We are open on Boxing Day and on New Year’s Day for brunch. First orders are at midday and last orders at 1.30pm. Please find the menus below although they might be subject to the odd change if necessary.
We ask for 20.00 per head deposit which is non-refundable unless we have 7 days notice of cancellation, part-cancellation or a drop in numbers. Obviously for guests who arrived as booked, we credit this amount against the final tab. We are sorry we have to ask for this but there is a tendency for out-of-towners to make speculative bookings and it’s very galling turning away regular guests only to find we could have accommodated them after all!
